An award winning, market leading, UK arm of a Multi National organisation, offering state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, have revealed their impressive growth plans for 2008 and beyond. To assist with such plans they now seek to appoint two high calibre New Business Sales Professionals with backgrounds in either transactional mail or data driven solutions.
The brief is simple – we seek individuals capable of winning new name business for our Client’s high value transactional mail and e-channel solutions. All target customers will have a contract value in excess of £1m a year, with this figure rising to potentially in excess of £5m a year.
A proven track record of opening doors into new business accounts (rather than following up on leads provided) is essential. Critically, this involves initially laying the foundations for success by working around target organisations to discover the real decision making process and the key players involved, including establishing appropriate contact and arranging meetings with relevant senior managers and more junior key influencers.
In addition, we require applicants to:
a) be able to demonstrate a track record of working within their own organisations to develop solutions that meet the key needs of the customer and which the organisation can deliver profitably and
b) provide evidence of having developed compelling proposal documents. Dependant on whom Candidates have worked for, this will either be largely by self or with the help of an in-house bid team.
Ideally the successful Candidate will be able to show that they have handled the detail of contract negotiation to signature, however this is less critical than previous elements as specialist support will be provided.
All potential Candidates should possess live contacts within the target sectors and any such Candidates with experience in data driven solutions are likely to be just as suitable as those with direct transactional mail experience.
We appreciate that our Client requires a lot – and quite rightly so. They are committed to finding the right people and are aware success will not be achieved overnight. Therefore we seek persistent, tenacious individuals, capable of demonstrating an exceptional work ethic and willing to give this position at least three years.
