Our Client a major, prestigious Blue Chip Retailer is currently seeking to add a Packaging Technologist/Manager to their expanding team. The role will be reporting directly to and supporting the Packaging Technical Manager, therefore the individual we seek will already be operating in a similar role, with a passion for packaging and the experience and expertise to provide the necessary support needed in this important position.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in:
- Ensuring that packaging meets marketing, financial, legal, environmental & safety requirements.
- Working through a development brief containing details of the type of packaging that is needed and seeing it through to implementation.
- Closely working on the artwork with graphic designers to make sure it fits in with the company’s marketing and branding.
- Laboratory work.
- Negotiating with suppliers and liaising with colleagues involved in purchasing, research and development and production.
- Interested parties will need to:
- Have a detailed technical understanding of the industry
- Be abreast of current trends.
- Encompass a good all round, wide knowledge of materials
- Have an interest and posses in depth expertise in science, materials and design.
