About the role

Our client a leading marketing agency is seeking a Senior digital designer to join their expanding team.

You must have a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience designing for a wide range of online platforms and traditional media, you’ll be packed with creative ideas, have strong communication skills and be able to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.

As a senior member of the design team this position carries with it the responsibility to lead by example, motivate other team members, and in so doing you will encourage experimentation, innovation, share your knowledge and reach the highest of creative standards.

• Generate first-class concepts, visuals and creative ideas for print, web and multimedia projects

• Developing digital design capability through leadership and inventive concepts in conjunction with Creative and Digital Department Heads

• High level of expertise to deliver and encourage stunning digital concepts to meet client briefs and expectations

• Collaborating across the agency to drive up standards of digital creativity

• In-depth digital design capabilities with the ability to design for traditional media

• The foresight to put themselves in the shoes of the user and ensure all work presented is sold from a user point of view

• Offer feedback to team members, ensuring that high quality digital design work is championed throughout the agency and not be afraid to challenge briefs and educate other Designers and Account Handlers

• Actively participate in the creative culture

• Be determined to be an active part of an award-winning culture

• Excellent abilities in a wide range of Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office programmes

• Web usability and mobile first design experience

• You will be the leading digital designer within the agency and be responsible for brainstorming and creating exciting new concepts and deliver them on a digital platform through strong UI and UX wireframes and responsive design

• You will have an excellent background in digital design and live and breathe conceptualising creative, engaging visual campaigns. Alongside this you will have a proven breadth of UX skills and have your handle on the full omnichannel experience

• You’ll work closely with fellow planners, creatives and developers to ensure a cohesive approach that can be consistently applied across all platforms

• You’ll understanding the look and feel of HTML/CSS, without being a coder, and know how to push it to its limits and you’ll also be expected to take a similar approach to junior team members who you will be asked to support and mentor to stretch them without breaking them

• Help growth and development of our digital and creative team

• Nurture an award winning digital creative offering within the agency

• Generate ideas and sell them into clients and other members of the team

• Stay up to date with industry trends, executing exciting digital ideas (creative and functionality)

• You will need in-depth digital design capabilities

• A proven track record of UX/UI design (Ben to supply software … e.g. Axure, Balsamic, etc)

• Experience and understanding of A-B testing

• Ability to work in an Agile environment

• A great designer with a fantastic digital portfolio

• Self-motivated and pro-active
